چکیده
This material is a supplement to the paper “Distributed Consensus-based Weight Design for Cooperative Spectrum Sensing”. Section 1 offers related literature review on cooperative spectrum sensing and consensus algorithms. Section 2 presents related notations and models of the consensus-based graph theory. Section 3 offers further analysis of the proposed spectrum sensing scheme including detection threshold settings and convergence properties in terms of detection performance. Section 4 presents the proofs for the convergence of the proposed consensus algorithm, and discusses the convergence of the proposed algorithm under random link failure network models. Section 5 shows additional simulation results.

Distributed Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Using Weighted Average Consensus
In this paper, we study the distributed spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks. Existing distributed consensus-based fusion algorithms only ensure equal gain combining of local measurements, whose performance may be incomparable to various centralized soft combining schemes. Motivated by this fact, we consider practical channel conditions and link failures, and develop new weighted soft m...
متن کاملInvestigation of Always Present and Spectrum Sensing based Incumbent Emulators
Cognitive radio (CR) technology has been suggested for effective use of spectral resources. Spectrum sensing is one of the main operations of CR users to identify the vacant frequency bands. Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is used to increase the performance of CR networks by providing spatial diversity. The accuracy of spectrum sensing is the most important challenge in the CSS process sinc...
متن کاملDistributed Cooperative Spectrum Sensing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks with Cognitive Radios
In cognitive radio mobile ad hoc networks (CR-MANETs), secondary users can cooperatively sense the spectrum to detect the presence of primary users. In this chapter, we propose a fully distributed and scalable cooperative spectrum sensing scheme based on recent advances in consensus algorithms. In the proposed scheme, the secondary users can maintain coordination based on only local information...
متن کاملSpectrum Sensing Data Falsification Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks: An Analytical Model for Evaluation and Mitigation of Performance Degradation
Cognitive Radio (CR) networks enable dynamic spectrum access and can significantly improve spectral efficiency. Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) exploits the spatial diversity between CR users to increase sensing accuracy. However, in a realistic scenario, the trustworthy of CSS is vulnerable to Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious CR users deli...
متن کاملAttack-Aware Cooperative Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks under Byzantine Attack
Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to overcome the impact of multi-path fading and shadowing issues. The reliability of CSS can be severely degraded under Byzantine attack, which may be caused by either malfunctioning sensing terminals or malicious nodes. Almost, the previous studies have not analyzed and considered the attack in their models. The present study introduc...
